Firstly, Adam Baldwin (Jayne Cobb) also voices Kal'Reegar. Also, for Halo fans, Dutch from ODST.

Secondly, Mark needs to find little trinkets or things to keep his hands busy while in situations he'd normally be headbutting people in. Karnak had a couple hundred years to figure that out.
