Episode 2: All Ages Night "After their little test at the museum, a lot of the students have been struggling. The answer? An all ages night at local hotspot Ronnie's. There's movies, games, karaoke...everything a young kid would want and it's running for 24 hours straight. Nothing wrong with a little bit of fun to really bring a team together right? “You’re doing it again” Freddie looked at the beautiful woman on the other side of the bar and she furrowed her brow. “Doing what?” She asked in a soft southern but distinct Louisiana drawl. The Sicilian mutant downed his whiskey and tapped the table. “Avoiding a question. I asked how Chase was, Ronnie” The woman now identified as Ronnie pulled a glass from beneath the counter top and left it underneath a running beer tap as she also grabbed a smaller glass and a bottle of wine. “He’s fine, we don’t talk too much. Just enough for me to know he’s safe and for him to know I’m safe. He’s still very scared after what happened” She poured the glass of red wine and slid it to the empty seat next to Freddie. “For your friend” Turning, Freddie and Ronnie were met by the sweet smile of one Headmistress Kitty Pryde walking through the door. “It’s really spooky when you do that Rhonda” He shook his head before turning and greeting Kitty with a hug. “Hey” Kitty hugged him tightly, giving him a delicate “Hi” before taking her seat. “Red wine, Freddie how’d you know?” He shrugged and motioned to the gorgeous bartender. “I didn’t. Ronnie here has a knack for knowing exactly what a person needs and wants to drink” Kitty looked into the woman’s blue eyes and she responded with a little chuckle. “It’s not just drinks” Ronnie spoke “I kind of know a lot about a lot of things without actually knowing about the things…that doesn’t make sense” She laughed. “I guess you can say my woman’s intuition is in constant hyper mode” Kitty was curious but she knew better than to press an issue, she’d ask Freddie about it later. “Thank you so much for letting us throw our movie night here, it’s going to mean so much to the kids” Rhonda wiped down the bar with a cloth and grinned brightly. “It’s honestly no problem. My little brother’s their age so and it’s always just been us, so I know how important nights like this can be. Besides, I’ll do anything for Freddie. Can’t deny those pretty blue eyes can I?” She chuckled before heading off to the other end of the bar to serve another customer. “You did great in organising this, Freddie. You and Nia” The headmistress took a sip from her wine. “It’s what the kids need. Being X-Men isn’t just about fighting, it’s about overcoming your differences and being part of a cause bigger than yourself. These kids need to develop together in order to have a future together. They come in here, watch movies on the big screen, games consoles set up, karaoke, food, drinks. If they don’t gel tomorrow, they won’t gel at all” The former Shadowcat laughed to herself as she looked at her colleague. “I’ve known you nearly ten years Freddie and I think that’s the most I’ve ever heard you talk”
