"Yeah... a sweet girl for the first 3 years of college. She pulled off straight A's so she was on the high honer roll list and dean's list the whole time she was there. Grace Sullivan was the party girl type but she had the brains as well as the smarts. Mostly A's with a few b's sprinkled out during her time at college. She did fail one class but it was an elective. Piano takes too much time and effort. Grace took the easiest classes she could find unlike Florence who majored in photography. She was excellent with taking pictures. She was going to take a job offer with some magazine. One of the arguments that Florence and Kevin had. He wanted her to stay home and play housewife and mother while she wanted to be a career girl, traveling about taking pictures. He would not stand for her to travel alone to god only knows where while he stayed home. Florence was going to get big money too from one of the magazines too. She said that she was 6 months pg with Kevin's baby and I'd believe her. After the baby was born, she would stay home for like 6 months then make short photography trips according to Kevin who scoffed at her ideas. 
Grace was going to stay home and have a nanny for the children which was more to Kevin’s liking. That way he could take his pretty wife here and there…. And the children will be taken care of by the nanny, governess and then a tutor before they would be sent off to boarding school. Something that Florence refused to have any part of. She wanted to work part time and be a mother as well. She would have a live in nanny but Florence would have a big part of the parenting and wanted Kevin to have his hand in the parenting. He flat out refused to do as Florence wanted while Grace took advantage of the situation and sided with Kevin.
I am not sure why Grace was given the salutatorian but that was just a few days before the graduation. I mean Florence was the one who was supposed to be the salutatorian until like 3 days before graduation. I know that she had her speech all written up and Kevin just complained about it and put the speech down in any way he knew how. No one knew that it was going to be Grace for salutatorian until the dean announced for her to come up and give her speech. Even Florence didn’t know for she stood up when they announced that the salutatorian of the class would now give her speech. She became all shakey and pale. She flopped down into her chair. When the diplomas were given out, Florence took hers but refused to shake hands with any of the staff. And she left right after the she got her diploma.
When she arrived at the graduation party, her face was all red and puffy as if she was crying for those two-three hours that she was missing. I guess that she was very upset. Dan and I tried to stop her and make her leave. Told her leave well enough alone. I even said that I would marry her. Yeah, I liked her a lot. A whole lot…… She was a much better catch than Grace any day even though the Sullivans had more money. After the police broke up the fight and everything, I went to bed and began to think that Kevin was a fool. I was going to date Florence for real and show her how a real man could take care of her and any children even if the child was not mine. I found out around 10 the next day about the car wreck. The police came and arrested me. I regret to this day that I did not go to see Florence. Maybe I could have saved her. But no one found her body……” Matt turned his head and wiped his eyes then became silent for a minute before speaking again.
“Florence would have sent anyone to prison. Not even Kevin. She would have left and raised the baby on her own if she had to. 
The ranking of the families are Sullivans being the richest in land and business; Kennedys had the oil wells, land and the money which made them a very close second. There is another branch of the Kennedy family in the Hills somewhere. Rumors have it that they made moonshine, whiskey, ect. I can’t verify that; Preston family were in politics and well known in the social circle, they spread money around here and there but never told anyone how much which leaves me to think that they were not very rich; The Rogers family is into politics and own several companies; My family just know people and have pertinent info about skeletons that are hidden away. That is how we became rich. All of us are powerful in our own ways, I guess.

House of Gaul is run by a few old members. No one not even I know who they are. We are told by the hidden I was told by notes what to do and not to do. No reasons either. Every head passes the info down to the rest of the members.
