'Way to go man, tell him how much worse it could have been. Tear him up a little bite more inside!' Kuro knows that eventually such news may make Aoba actually feel better, but he knows how much his Little Mouse is just trying to cope with things the way they are. Thoughts of going to hell of all places would not help. He huffs lightly, peeking over his shoulder as he hears the apple core landing when tossed. 'Well, that's a waste' He wiggles his finger so the core floats over to him and in two quick bites he munches down the remnants of apple. Before he can turn back away from the conversation he watches as Aoba slumps sadly and bites his lip. 'Oh, come on Little Mouse, you know I won't let you starve' He doesn't even really notice the look from the priest, instead he is focused on Aoba. Rolling his eyes he rolls himself off the couch and wanders slowly over to stand next to the depressed angel. Reaching out he runs his fingers gently over one of Aoba's wings and makes a shushing noise. “C'mon Little Mouse, don't pout. If I'm willing to fight and shed my blood for you, do you really think I'm going to let you starve or something like that?” Not sure how else to make him feel better he cups the back of Aoba's head, just like he use to do in the prison cell, before leaning up to place a gentle kiss on his temple. In a soft voice he whispers, “Trust me, Little Mouse. . .” He stays standing close until the angel looks at him, then with a smile he strokes his thumb along the back of Aoba's head, a fond smile on his lips. Father Gerard watches the display with a mix of shock and real interest. 'I've heard of demons falling in love, but it's the fist time I've ever seen one being so tender. Normally a demons nature does not change and the one they fall for just puts up with their obsessive and violent nature, or flees before it' His mouth drops open slightly when Kuro kisses the angel but he snaps it shut a moment later. Too shocked by this to speak properly he simply continues to watch until Kuro steps back. Chuckling slightly Kuro scoops up the book and begins reading it. He's read it before, but it never hurts to refresh one's memories on important subjects. Plopping down on the couch he goes back to ignoring the room in general, only a little of his attention on the conversation.
