Chukkle is in fact correct, Knights are chosen at a very young age and are trained from then onward, the only knights who really know their parents are ones who were knights themselves. As I said, a Knight's child will always be a Knight, so for them they do get to sort of raise their children, but the instructors super-cede them most of the time. Secondly, a Knight's Raiment is his unique weapon that is perfectly suited to him, whether he knows it or not. It is the result of deep meditation to understand yourself combined with a magic ceremony to project the weapon itself. A Raiment however isn't only a weapon, it's an extension of the knight's personality, his symbol, his brand. So if you want to keep your Raiment as is, that's fine. I just want to encourage a bit more thought and care for it.
