There is a point between life and death that one will find him/herself at. It’s a point of floating, floating away from your body and up into the sky. Just floating, for Lexi, she was laying on her back, looking up at the sky as she went towards the clouds and beyond the means of understanding. Logic was no longer possible in her brain and right now, all she felt was peace for the first time in her life…. That was until her eyes opened, no this wasn’t the first time in her life she felt peace. She had felt this way before. Comfortable, safe and warm. That time was any time she was with Peter. Even Peter as Spider-Man, no matter the situation, she always felt like, in the end, everything would be okay. Panic started to set it as the raven haired girl sat up in surprise and looked around her. She was suddenly in a field, a lush green pasture filled with running horses and sleeping sheep. Soft and calm, even the grass under her hands felt real. She was in her clothes from before, the black tank top and blue jeans but she was barefoot. Quickly, the girl got to her feet and began to look around. Opening her mouth she attempted to shout only to find that she had no voice; for being as loud of a person as she could be, this was rather shocking. Her hands went to her throat in surprise, finding out she didn’t have a voice was stunning. Her blue gaze moved up from her feet to the area head, the sheep seemed to stir slightly in their sleep as a man came out of the nearby forest. Lexi attempted to yell to him, pulling her hands from her throat and waving like crazy, she knew the man and the man recognized her. “Lexi…” He said in surprise as he hurried to her. Uncle Ben looked the same as ever, still plump and happy and smiling. “Lexi, it’s not yet your time.” He said softly placing his hands gently onto her shoulders. “Don’t worry, since it’s not your time that’s why you cannot speak, just listen.” Somewhere in the mix, Lexi had begun to cry with an overwhelming mix of feelings but still, she made no sound. “Lexi, please don’t cry. I’m okay. Heaven’s beautiful, everything happy and fun and bright. I know you, Pete and May miss me a lot but we’ll all meet up again. Please, you will go back, you will live on but promise me you’ll look out for Pete. I’ve been watching him and what he’s doing is dangerous but I’m very proud of him. But he can be reckless and since you’re one of the very few who knows his secret, I’m entrusting you to look out for him. He needs guidance and if he’s going to listen to anyone; it’s you.” Uncle Ben pulled her into a hug. “Everything will be alright kiddo but…” He pushed her back looking down at her with those big soft eyes of his. “You’re going to hurt… a lot, before you get better. But you’ll be better than ever; do you understand me?” All Lexi could do was nod as she attempted to reach for another hug from the man, only to find herself falling through him. “It’s time for you to go back, you’ll wake up and it will hurt… a lot. And there’s really nothing that can be done about that but please, tell Aunt May and Pete I love them.” All Lexi could do was nod, knowing her voice didn’t work as she seemed to fade away from the scene. BOOM! It was a crash landing into her body. Lexi Roger’s eyes exploded open as she flung herself up from the laying down position completely upright. Her body was in flames, her head was spinning, her vital signs causing the machine to explode and she let out a loud scream of pain. “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” With that she fell back onto the bed, no one was in the room and she didn’t know what wing she was in. But she could smell the horrible overuse of bleach and chemicals to sterilize equipment. Closing her mouth firmly from scream she closed her eyes tightly and winced, her arms around her stomach. She didn’t know how she got to the hospital, nor did she care at the moment, she had one thing and one thing only on her mind. “Peter?” She began to call out. “Peter?”
