"I'm Jason, er, Jason Cortez. Jay's good- basically anything's good, just let me know what you're gonna call me, though." She watched as he clearly got ruffled in his actions and his words began to ramble. She bowed her head slightly as she tried to hide her grin. He seemed to notice and quickly apologized. "Sorry, It's been a while since I've been able to talk to someone. I'm a bit bottled up; I'll quiet down soon.” He gave her a surprisingly soft handshake. It wasn't at all what she was expecting from such a large man. “You'll want somethin' waterproof to cover that...” She nodded. “We can worry about it when we stop next. We need to get off this roof or there might not be a next time.” “Hey, you got a quiet weapon?” She nodded and patted her left hip just under her shirt. “A knife,” she replied simply. It's military-like sheath attached to her belt very much out of place on her person. Yet, it was the only one she could find and appearances hardly mattered nowadays. She watched as he walked around each side of the building, checking for threats. “I'm ready when you are.” She couldn't agree more. It was time to leave. She looked over the edge of the building. All and all, it seemed relatively clear. “Lead the way,” she said with a nod, “I'll follow you.”
