With the two already in the cave engaged in conversation, Renan took to walking over to a section of the cave marked with tallies and mad scribbles carved into the stone wall. He looked into the leather pouches hanging from the wall before him. Looking behind himself again to see the tall man and the girl, Renan replenished his bolts before pausing for a moment and taking a special bolt marked with a unique shaft and arrowhead out and carefully removing the tip. After this, he reached into another one of the skins before him labeled, "Insomnia," and drew a small quantity of liquid from it. Just smelling the fluid made him a bit drowsy. He then poured some of this fluid into the shaft of the arrow and reattached the arrowhead after making sure that the trigger mechanism (a steel bead at the tail end of the arrow which surges forward when the arrow hits because of inertia) was functional. He then placed the bolt into his pouch with the rest and sealed the skin. Taking a quick headcount, Renan realized that something was amiss.

He unhooked a rope from the cave wall and climbed back out of the grotto, reaching the top where all of the guardians lay, along with the blonde haired girl with the bandages. He made a welcoming gesture and pointed to the trap door whilst looking concernedly at the girl, awaiting a response.
