An Alpha-level telekinetic, Tom is one of the most dangerous individuals around. He is inventive with his attacks and is capable of defeating some of the Danger Room's highest settings single-handedly simply through the versatility of his power. His control is so fine that he can exclude allies and civilians from even his most brutal area-of-effect attacks. or even affect things at a molecular level in a limited fashion, though this takes great concentration and is very tiring, and can't really do more than heat, chill, compress or disperse things.
Let's look at arguably the most powerful telekinetic in the Marvel continuum: pre-Phoenix Force Jean Grey. Jean Grey had an insane amount of power, so much that her telekinesis could overpower Magneto - another alpha level mutant - in control over a single metal object. Yet, in terms of control, she could NEVER do the things Tom can. As a matter of fact, it's speculated Emma Frost has the most control over her telekinesis even though Jean's is far more powerful. What needs clarified is how much FORCE can be put behind the KINESIS aka KINETIC ENERGY of this mutation in combination with how much it can be controlled. For instance, Emma Frost can use her telepathy to take over minds and use the mutant powers of her host. She could utilize control over kinetic energy for people like Robert Drake far more than he could and even use his powers to a greater extent due to her control and knowledge. That's canon. Those are facts. I think clarity as to his finite control, his large-scale control, his power output and his multi-tasking need to be elaborated upon if an Alpha-level telekinetic is to be considered. Telekinesis is not overpowered. Unchecked telekinesis is, and that is true for ANY ability.
