Colin kept silent as they continued their trek through endless hallways of dark, dank tunnels without only an emergency candle he had stored in his room to light the way. They had been walking through them for the better part of an hour and was beginning to think they were walking in circles. The blueprints he had saw in the General's office didn't make the tunnels look this long, but then again he wasn't too good at reading maps since there wasn't really any need from being stuck underground for your entire life. "We're almost there," he said for the fiftieth time that day, but mostly to try calming his near-hysterical brother. He knew it was probably a bad idea to bring his younger brother out of the sanctuary without knowing the conditions of what lied outside the walls, but he was ready to get out of there. They were little more than trapped birds in a cage in there and he was sick of it. There had to be a better world out there and he would start it with his brother. It was another ten minutes until he saw the bright sunlight ahead and sighed in relief when he saw it. "Put on your mask. We need to take a look around before we risk breathing in the air out there," he said as he tossed a gas mask at his younger brother before snapping on his own. "Are you ready for this? In all honesty I don't know what's waiting for us out there, but we're about to find out."
