Brutally murdering them would probably not make him look good in the eyes of a superhero team, since it still shows little value for human life since his first reaction was "remorseless slaughter". I'm close to just throwing my hands in the air and trying to figure out a replacement character, since I have no idea how to make Natsumi work in this situation and I'm a little puzzled as to why the training excercise is so much more excessive than the actual field mission.
