Time seemed to stop for everyone in the vicinity as the bullet whizzed through the air from the muzzle of the rifle and nesting inside Sarah's chest. Arlia watched as Sarah's body flinched from the recoil and then crumpled to the ground, her green eyes already teary and weary. Alexis, on the other hand, found her control over the body wrestled from her by a hysterical Hayley. After what seemed like an eternity, time seemingly began to flow again as Arlia and Hayley, the latter's body still bearing the coating of black goo though retained her original eye color, let out a heartbreaking scream.
