Character Sheet template: Character You Wish To Play: Bob Reynolds, The Sentry Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Walking The Line Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): None, he's a loner Character Origin & Backstory: Before Robert became the Sentry, ths most power being all of multiverse, he was a mere Earth dwelling dick of a man. He was a mooch, an overweight, uncaring mooch of his girlfriend. His mother was in a nursing home, but unable to pay her medical bills, the staff were ready to throw her out into the cold cruel world. Before Robert became the Sentry, a being of unrivaled power and goodwill, he was a drug addict, whose choice of poision was meth. He got into it in his early teens through peer pressure in the wrong crowd. He was very stupid young man and was constantly arrested for possession and criminal mischief. He was by no means a hero, or even a role model. Before Robert was a superhero among superheroes, he was a thug. He was very well adept at lockpicking, so when a couple of neighborhood guys told him of a score of a lifetime, he jumped at the chance before learning the score was property of Tony Stark's megacorp. Before Robert was the embodiment of the Yin Yang concept, he was a man with no morals, he would do anything for his next high, for his next dollar. So when he found out that the score they came to get was an untested drug of unknown potential, Bobby being Bobby, injected himself with it. The next day he awoke in his own bed, his girlfriend high as the sky at the edge of their mattress. Robert tried to inject himself for his morning dose, but found the needle break on contact with his skin. Curious, he went to the bathroom to try pill popping, but when he looked into the dank musty mirror, his reflection looked notjing like him. His shaved golden hair now flowed to his shoulders and a radiated a beautiful glow. His teeth once rotten from drug use now perfect and accounted for, his once pockmarked with acne and facial scarring was now unblemished. His six pack of beer for a stomache was now buff and chiseled like that of a god. His once too tight and favorite red stained shirt and torn into oblivion blue jeans were nowhere to be found, instead he wore a skin tight spandex like yellow material with a black belt and a flowing blue cape. He also realized he no longer felt the need for a high, instead it was replaced with a nother emotion, one that he sorely lacked in his entire life. Robert Reynolds felt happy. Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Superstrength- a prototype Super Soldier serum mixed with a bad meth high grants Robert the strength to crush entire planets with a single hand Superspeed- thanks to the serum, he can cross lightyears in milliseconds Invulnerability- nothing but age can kill him Super telescopic sight- Bob can see the center of an atom clear as day Light emission- Robert can emit light equivalent to the Sun, but without any blinding or heating effects, instead granting all who are enveloped, a calm and happy sensation Teleportation- Bob can teleport to anywhere at any given time in a matter of a yactosecond Memory Sharing- The Sentry can share his memories with another individual, but doing so causes them pain beyond death Total Body Reconstruction- if he is killed and desintagrated, he will reform his entire body in mere seconds As The Void- Shadow Energy Excretion- the more the Void takes over Bob's body, the darker and more twisted his appearance becomes Shapeshifting- The Void can transform into anybody or anything and project that image outside of Bob Reynold's body Weather Manipulation- The Void has a near mastery over all negative forms of weather Telepathic Invasion- The Void's shadow tendrils can take hold of a person's mind and over time manipulate and warp it into a nightmarish result Visionary Touch- everytime someone attempts to touch The Void, they go into a seizure and view the past present, and future simultaneously Omnipotent- The Void is strongest either during a full moon, or in the Negative Zone where it could break every bone in the Hulk 100 times over in about 10 seconds flat Weaknesses: Insomnia- Robert no longer needs to sleep, but in not doing so, he is still affected by it's absence Telepathy- Robert has the weakest and most fragile mind on the planet, one mental invasion and he is on his knees screaming like a baby in seconds Schizophrenia- To other people, Bob is talking to himself, or voices in his head, but to him the voices are all real, and very dangerous Split Personality Disorder- Whenever Robert as the Sentry does something good, The Void will resurface one night and do something equally bad. For example, if he saved a man from a burning building, The Void would come back and burn that man alive. Dissociate Identity Disorder- The Sentry being the most powerful being in existance has a habit of not caring about the single individual in trouble if it does not pertain to his mission of the betterment of the people. Love- Bob Reynolds love for the people in his life is enough to pacify the presence of both the Sentry and The Void into mental recession, but it is Love for a better future and Love of Chaos that drive the Sentry and the Void respectively to surface Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue): The C Train, busy as always, crowded as always, and unclean as always, but who am I too judge? I Robert Reynolds. I'm just another dick in a sea of punks looking for their big break. I look through the foggy window at the New York City backdrop, and i'm not alone in my reflection, staring back at me are two other guys, one who calls himself the Sentry, seems like an ok guy. He looks deep in thought, his big burly arms crossed as he listens to everyone, people he says need our help. "Closest one is a few blocks away," I hear him say, his voice extremely commanding, and I start to sweat as I attempt to push his voice from my crowded head, "Why?" I ask, "what makes this situation so worth the mighty Sentry's time?" I ask aloud, unaware i'm gathering stares, some from a young man listening to smooth jazz on an Ipod. "Well," another voice starts, this one belongs to the other reflection, a thing that doesn't seem so solid, and looks wispy, it also looks like a twisted version of The Sentry and myself, The Sentry calls it The Void. Devoid of any good anything. Good will. Good intentions. Good emotions. "Well," The Void starts, and smiles a toothy grin, "we could just let her get assaulted, make her never feel safe again," I look directly at The Void, who I see has now positioned himself behind a frazzled mother, taking care of a little baby. Though it's the way he said 'her' that gets my attention. "Linda?" I ask, eyes wide with fear, now businessman, probably a Wall Street guy looks over at me. They think I'm crazy, I know. "Yeah," the deranged thing said in mock giddiness, turns out you left the door unlocked on your way out," it explains and pretends to file it's wispy nails, "naughty boy, you know what the hood is like," it laughs tauntingly, "the one guy who groped in the Central Park the other day," "NO!" I shout and stand up immediately, scaring many of the passengers, but I don't care about them, not with my Linda in trouble now. A couple of punks approached to my left, one guy grabs his side pocket, a gun most likely so I play to their readiness. "Kids, don't fuck with me," I growl, and briefly glance at Sentry's reflection, "Why not?" The leader, a man with a ski cap asked, as if he really cared. Because of-" I start to say, but I feel my body changing already, my muscles grow, my hair starts to glow, and my clothes change until The Sentry has fully taken charge. I now see things happening a little slower, outside of what was once my own body. "Me," I hear Sentry say before he barely pokes the punk and they all fly backwards, leaving a dent in the subway car's door, and that was a pulled punch! For awhile The Sentry sizes everyone up in silence until I hear the Stoke Broker type speak up, "Hey crazy guy, who the hell do you think you are?" Sentry begins to glow a bright golden color as he says, "I am The Sentry, Guardian of Good," And the three of us teleport to Linda's aid...
