Waking up was a pain, always a pain. The blonde hit her alarm clock with an annoyed thud as she pulled herself out of bed. Rebecca, Becky Johnson dealt with this all the time; but it was Saturday and she had things to do, places to go and people to see… okay not people to see but you get my point. After rushing through her small apartment she shared with her mom she was hopping to get her shoes on while the tooth brush stuck out of her mouth. A smile moved across her face as her mom’s cheerful good byes echoed through the house and her father’s good bye echoed from the bedroom as he got ready for his day. She spit out the contents of her mouth into the bathroom sink as she finished up getting ready, grabbed her small purse and ran out the door. “Good bye!” With that she ran out of the house and shut the door sprinting down the stairs and to the bus stop. Becky loved the feeling of being outside and would love it even more if the twenty four year old had the ability to travel but alas, money was always an object that caused a lot of problems. Climbing off the bus in her blue jeans and blue shirt she picked up a travel cup of tea and went to her first stop of the day; the library! She wasn’t in school but she truly enjoyed the library because it was full of knowledge and that was something she loved. Becky loved to learn and had a passion for it, her current obsession was Pompeii. The library wasn’t too far away from the bus stop so getting there was a breeze even though it started to rain; typical London, always loved to get her wet. Sighing she stopped inside and pulled her purse from her head looking around. The big place was pretty well empty, something that never really surprised her. Shrugging, she ventured onward. A small happy sigh left her as she allowed a bright smile to move across her full lips as she stopped at one of the tables, placing her small purse and her to-go tea cup down on a table before looking around. Her caramel colored eyes landing on a tall young looking man sitting on a couch with his eyes closed. Her eyebrow raised slightly as she looked at him, his brown suite and trench coat looked too clean to be a hobo and his stack of books would say he was either smart or he had a desire to learn like her and the glasses on the edge of his nose gave him a look of intelligence that she normally didn’t see; even in the library. Shaking her head she pushed the thoughts from her mind as she went to a nearby ladder and set it up against the close bookshelf and began to climb. Once towards the top her fingers danced against the book’s spines trying to find what she was looking for. Her eyes brightened as she found one that said History of Pompeii, in excitement she gave the book a bit too hard of a pull and the ladder began to wobble, tilting back against her; a small shriek of fright left her as the ladder wobbled, one false move or jerk the thing could fall backwards and that… that would hurt a lot.
