Okay then, here. we. go! I would like the first round of posts just to be your characters going about their day, ending with them in or around the school complex. If there is a west-facing window where your character is when the clock strikes 10:16:03 AM, they should see the star falling towards them, though see might not be the right word since it would be shining brighter than the sun at that range. Even if your character isn't near a window, or one facing the other direction, they will likely notice the sky light up or the ground shaking. Your characters are 100% normal people at this point, so keep it real.
