Pretty bad CS, if I say so myself. But it's been some time since I've done a character like this. Role: Online Mystery Story Solving Detective Name: Akio Himura Age: 17, though is repeating his first year. Gender: Male Appearance: "Meh." Personality: For someone who has a name that pretty much translates into Hero of the Scarlet Village, Akio Himura is a rather withdrawn individual. He doesn't enjoy sharing his thoughts with others, and his vocal answers generally come out as a grunt of sorts, just to show that he was listening. He avoids eye contact, prefers places where he can be alone, and during social outings, his best friend is the wall, who always has his back as he twiddles around on his phone. All in all, he's a pessimistic introvert who's incapable of believing that people can be trusted, a jaded, cynical high schooler who spends way too much time thinking and not enough time doing. Despite this though, he's a remarkably clear-headed thinker, an intellectual with a knack for gathering information and problem-solving. Nowadays, he's not driven to panic as easily, but instead, holds a bit of an inferiority complex that keeps him quiet, even when he should speak up. Brief Backstory: Akio Himura's life is the typical story of a kid who had a normal, if not oft-absent, family. He was a smart boy growing up, and enjoyed spending time in the library more than out on the fields. He was even a bit of a smart-ass back then, reflexively correcting his classmates. Combine that, along with his giant pair of glasses and braces to correct his crooked teeth, and he was pretty much a walking target for bullies. By Grade Six, it was accurate to say that Akio had become everyone's gopher, as he waited for the day that elementary graduation would happen, in order to start anew. Except in the first year of middle school, he found out that most of his class from elementary school went to the same middle school. And so, he prepared for another few years of the gopher life, having already accepted his fate. A life being trampled on by those in power. All things considered, that was what adulthood would be like, so really, Akio just thought that he was getting a headstart in adapting to the cold reality of the world. An optimistic pessimism for a situation that he thought inescapable, until a violent upperclassman took charge, cracked a few heads, and promptly dragged Akio out of the social abyss he had fallen into. For the duration of middle school, he had clung to her side in a symbiotic friendship cemented by the fact that he could help her with her studies. High school was next, and Akio chose to attend the same school as his only friend. Two months in, he had learned that she was involved in a house fire, and was hospitalized with critical injuries, roughly 40% of her body charred with burns. He spent most of the rest of his first year at school in a state of lethargy, skipping most of his classes and spending his time shut in his room, wasting away his life on time-consuming puzzles. It was only after he was forced to repeat first year high school, and under the threat of getting kicked out of the house, that Akio started to attend his classes once more. But he really, really, really doesn't feel like doing anything, and a perpetual aura of gloom surrounds him. Skills: He has a sharp and flexible mind, suited for figuring out problems and solving mysteries, but presently, it has been dulled by his personality. Akio was quite a strong academic in middle school as well, and it has carried onwards into high school. If it wasn't for the fact that he's such an invisible presence in school, he'd actually be praised for being such a quick learner. Archetype: Erlang Shen, the Truth-Seeking Third Eye and the greatest Warrior God of Heaven. Grants the ability to see what sins others bear when Akio engages in eye contact, innately sense danger, and, most ironically, grants immunity to flames.
