Golden Thunder gave her a half smile as they took off, his lightning trail leaving a yellow streak as he flew, "I'm actually only like 16..." he let that sink in for a moment and then continued, "My powers let me go back and forth from this form and my normal shape by saying a single word...I'm just a kid...But that doesn't mean I wouldn't wipe out an entire militia if I needed to." The smile that followed these words was so dark it could have been pure unfiltered evil.

Golden Thunder smiled genuinely this time, "My powers were given to me..." his voice sounded distant as if he wasn't really talking but remembering, "Back when things were still good...You see i was an orphan...never knew my parents...but i tried my hardest to be happy...and no matter what i tried to make bad situations not so bad...in that orphanage i had a girlfriend...Mary." His voice cracked as if the name alone brought pain into his body. "We went through allot together...she was even there for me when i first got my powers and nearly got killed by a monster from another dimension...I defeated it and then things went bad...i got cocky...some bad people figured out my identity...taped my mouth shut...and..." He stopped there, "In short a hero saw us being killed but was to busy with a building fire to help...Mary died...and when i finally got the tape off...i wiped out half of a city block in anger." He looked away, "That why i do things the way i do...in all honesty the reason i told you all this is to warn you...I don't want you having a panic attack if i kill someone...most heroes have a habit of trying to arrest me for that...But if these villains can't be stopped...I will slaughter them."
