“Wha-?!” he gasped in surprised as he lost his grip on the dragon, sliding back. He growled with anger as he fell for her taunt, attempting to strike at her again. His attempt ultimately failed, and within a few movements, she had him at her mercy with a blade against his neck. Rhanon was in utter shock that he was so easily defeated by her and to his surprise, instead of killing him, she dropped him into some mud. He wasn’t too hurt from the fall, but combined with the other injuries he received from her, he winced with pain before he heard her approach and talk to him. “L-Liar!” he spat, wiped the mud off his face as he glared at her. Her gentle smile was throwing him off guard, making him almost believe that the girl really was no harm like he initially thought, but he had just been defeated by her, a mere female demon. “Not here to harm anyone? You nearly killed my guards after I released you!” he accused, swiping the coin away from her hand the moment she offered it to him. Rhanon held it protectively as he continued glaring at her with distrust. As she sat on the hay he picked himself off of the ground, silent as he pondered her words. “I don’t trust you.” He frowned, remembering her deceitful little performance back at the throne room, but her sudden friendliness and tempting offer made him continue the conversation against his better judgment. “And nobody makes an offer like that without asking something in return or something in it for them. What is it you want?”he demanded, still incredibly suspicious of her.
