I have the one. I got it day one. I don't use it much for gaming at the moment because I am [b]extremely[/b] picky about the games I buy. I use it mostly as a bluray player if you want to watch movies on it you have three options.
1. Shout at the kinect.
2. Use the controller
3. Buy the media remote.

They are coming out or it is already out (not sure since I don't need it) with a version of the One that doesn't have a kinect.

For the moment if you want to log on automatically you have to have kinect set up to recognize you. I don't use kinect for anything so I have to manually log on every time.

If you log into your account before starting a game back up (even after several days) you will start exactly where you left off at. In the middle of a fight and quit that is where you will be when you start it up again.

If you don't log into your account before starting a game back up you will be forced to log in and you will start from when you last saved the game.

At the beginning of June they gave away Halo Spartan Assault and some game with the name Max in it for free if you have a gold account. You can keep those games for free as long as you have an active gold account. As soon as your gold account expires you have to pay for them.

Halo Spartan Assault I had on my Windows 8 PC and on the One it let me pick up where I left off on the PC.
