Sakura is rather calm and introverted. She doesn't excite easily in either the positive or negative. Social interaction had never been her strong point but she isn't rude. Sakura is the daughter of a wealthy American business that moved to Japan for work and met her mother, a Japanese woman who worked in a cubicle a couple floors down from his office. They had Sakura shortly after marrying. Sakura never became close to her parents. They having been most often gone on business trips and the like. In her parents attempt for Sakura to never feel lonely they constantly enrolled her in extra curricular activities starting with gymnastics.

Through the years she fell out of gymnastics and went through several different activities and finally settled on kendo. Enjoying the competition of it all and how strong it made her feel. Having spent a young lifetime in physical activities she was naturally conditioned for the sport.
