Name: Scarlet Page Age: Nineteen Gender: Female Appearance: Scarlet is a young woman at the average height of 5'8" and average weight. She has few curves to prove her femininity, but she is not completely masculine in appearance. Her hair is the same color of her name--scarlet, and is cropped close to her hair, one side long enough to touch her neck, while the other side is cropped close to her scalp. Her eyes are an ivy green that get darker based on her mood, typically when she is angered or upset. Her skin is the only part of her that lacks color, as it lacks any signs of her time in the sunlight. She has few freckles to make up for her lack of a tan. She typically wears a long cloak with a hood to hide herself in the shadows, where she feels she must belong. She is lean, though she is not very strong (physically). She often lacks an expression on her face, but her eyes tell all. Personality: Scarlet is a rather calm individual that rarely graces a stranger with a smile. She rarely shows any emotions, in hopes that they will not prove her to be weak. Her pride is something to be in awe of--an also in shame, for it often gets the best of her. She is headstrong and does not back down easily, because of the prior. Scarlet is often seen in the back of a crowd or the last to respond in a conversation, but she is often the first to accuse another of a wrong. If she feels threatened, she will bite back in order to prove her worth. Her goal to become one of the most powerful mages in all of Chou is the only thing that keeps her from going completely insane with her own lack of self-esteem. Though it seems that she views herself higher than others, she is her worst enemy. Ability: Animal Magic: Can shapeshift as well as manipulate/communicate with animals of various types. The Past Lives On (Bio): Scarlet was born to a poor family that had no hope of ever receiving any saving grace--or so it was until she was born. From the moment that she opened her eyes for the first time, she was manipulated for profit by another. She was sold into slavery when she began to show signs of her shapeshifting magic. From there, she was sold to a noble family who owned many exotic animals. Luck for her, once she had proven her worth, they began to help her control her ability in order to get the most from her. They also taught her how to heal animals and communicate with them properly. She was soon promoted to the family's veterinarian, but she longed for the glorious life that they were living--and more. Since they had taught her to read, mostly so that she could educate and prepare herself for more luxurious creatures found globally, she began to teach herself various methods of magics, but rarely was she able to use them to their full extent. When she felt like the nobles no longer held anything of value to her anymore, she vanished in the dead of night. Of course, by taking multiple shapes, she would be impossible to find. Before the catastrophe, she was moving from job to job with her magics as her gateway to a better life--striving to prove her worth to the world.
