The director remained unfazed by Gerry's ranting, as his reaction was to be inspected. Though he was worried about something else. Not his or her safety, but Gerry's. The organization wasn't keeping Elizabeth locked up. They had an arrangement which made her compliant, that was all. "Gerry, for your own safety I recommend that you put the gun down--" He spoke in a serious tone. Though Elizabeth interrupted him. "Oh I don't mind. Go ahead, shoot me. It will ruin my dress, but at least I get to have quite a fine meal." The director sighed, looking Gerry straight in the eyes. "Look, I don't want to loose another officer here. As hard as it is to believe, she is the real deal. And she's only the start of what your new assignment will hold. So why don't you go into the hall and cool down before this escalates." The director was actually a pretty down to earth guy, but he was merciless when it came to his job. And if this kept up, he would have no choice but to 'discharge' Gerry from this job. Which amounted to locking the man up in these living quarters with Elizabeth and letting her do her thing. The risk of information leaking out was too great to just let him go to another government job again.
