The problem I often have with RPs based on something is that there's a distinct lack of info that creating something based on something often conflicts with pre-established, or material about to be established, and their's often not enough plot only a general premise that follows the source material. 

I'm more into what Windreda said. Why not use the same premise of RWBY, young people fighting monsters with their weapons, but set it in the past when things were more chaotic. Before Beacon was an established school, but instead something more like a training facility for people to fight in the war (around Jaune's grandfather, or great grandfather's timeline). This is just an idea though, but I feel like it get rids of what most school based RP's problem, which is the rather stagnant nature that sets in when there's a distinct lack of non character related plot. 

Anywho if this post comes off like a drunk post then i apologize because I am quite tipsy.
