"Okay first of all, I resent that. You act like I'm some kind of savage, I know how to act in company. I just don't do it if I don't have to. Second of all, obviously I don't hate the elves. I mean, my best friend is an elf for God and Goddess's sake. Third of all, I am not wearing that, I have my own religion and I am not going to pretend to be something I am not." Fenn said, handing the necklace back to him. "Fenn," Kyalia started but Fenn cut her off. "No Kyalia...I am not going to disrespect my religion by hiding it and pretending to be part of the Church. Why do you think so many witches burn? We'd rather die than give up our religion and if you disagree with that, that's fine but nothing you can say to change that. If the elves want to let me in, then they can do that without the protection of the Church. I will be polite but I will not take the backing of the Church...I hope you understand. This isn't me trying to be rude or prideful, this is me standing my ground for my religion." Fenn said and Kyalia sighed, but she understood. Plus, this was probably the nicest Fenn has been since Kyalia met her.
