Renault continued to walk, the sea of faces flowing, passing by him. He was bored, uninterested at the hustle and bustle of the city that surrounded him. While it was true their was no real challenge present to him in this world, nor was their any way to meet a magic user who could really teach him something, their were some benefits to being in a world devoid of magic users. He could let his magic out, his true potential some might say. Normally one would be required to contain their magic, keep a hold on it. Mostly so it wouldn't disturb or irritate others. Except for here. Here. In this brave new world, this wondrous world full of new opportunities and new surprises, Renault was free to do as he liked. So he let is magic seep out, left it float and lurk around him, letting himself breathe it in, his silent music flowing without restraint. It was a new experience for him, completely like any he had been witness to before. He could hear, he could hear the music around him, the magic around him. Even the sounds were amplified. He slowed down to a stop, closed his eyes, concentrating. It took a few minutes, but slowly he began to sense his surroundings, sense the air around him. He strode forward, slow yet confident. He couldn't make out shapes, or really details. 'My subconscious' he thought. Turning or moving to the left or right just in time to avoid collisions. He nearly tripped, carefully maintaining his balance, doing his best to make it appear like a natural action as he felt a presence push back against his magic. 'Now that should't have happened.' he thought to himself with a small grin. Continuing to walk he opened his eyes, trying to appear as normal and un-alerted as possible. Keeping calm he slowly observed those around him, one by one he eliminated people surrounding him until none remained. It was then he noticed the small feline that had seemed to taken a keen interest in him. With a glint in his eyes he spun around, ignoring those around him as he bowed to the cat, grinning in a way that was friendly but almost seemed malicious. He pressed back with his magic, pushing it against her as he stared back, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance my dear!" he said, voice smooth, filled with undirected magic. A moment later he spun around again, doffing his hat at the cat before tipping into the closest pub. Holding the door open for just a moment as he stared back at the feline. More or less daring her to follow.
