So I might edit this a bit later, but it's done for now. ---- I’m green, da ba dee, da ba di Appearance/Possessions: Like his heritage, Val’kur’s appearance holds both elven grace and orcish brutality. He stands at 6’7 and though his build is unmistakably muscular and reminiscent of orcs, it has a certain leanness to it thanks to his father. Nevertheless, the half-blood still weighs just over 300 pounds. Although his hair is long as pictured, he generally ties it up to avoid issues. His clothes are incredibly simple and of durable make; generally linen underclothes with leather outerwear; he also has a thick brown travel cloak made of cotton and waterproofed. His armor is obviously missing a few parts, consisting of only a pair of greaves, gauntlets, and a tasset, but the quality of what he owns is obviously very high. His blade is of orcish design, though it’s make is more akin to elven metalwork. Amongst his most prized possessions would be his belt, or more accurately, the numerous pouches hooked onto the strap. Some hold the links to his dearest companions, while others hold rare herbs and ingredients for his practice of Venecation. Name: Val’kur Age: 23 Gender: Male Race: Half-elf, half-orc Affinities: CONJURATION, Venecation, and Alteration in this order. Personality: Actually fairly even-tempered and a well adjusted individual in-spite, or more likely because, of his mixed heritage. Although he prefers to spend time alone, Val’kur isn’t introverted enough that he’ll actively seek to avoid interacting with others. He is a fairly reserved individual, even amongst others, but doesn’t lack any confidence when he does wish to speak; though this can make him seem distant and detached from others around him. The presence of his companions tend to soften and chip away Val’kur’s reserved nature. When his Conjured friends are about, he’s noticeably lighthearted, though never to the point where he could be called boisterous. He speaks more often, is more amiable, and generally just more pleasant. He is not without traits typically associated with orcs though. He exhibits the same ferociousness and aptitude for violence as his mother when necessary, albeit it is tempered by logic and calm thought for the most part. In confrontations he holds little back unless necessary, and his reserved demeanor quickly bleeds away. History: A lone traveller. That’s been Val’kur’s lifestyle for nearly a decade now, having left his parents behind at a young age. A combination of wanderlust and the desire for connections beyond that of blood drove the young boy to set off from home, the sensations were that powerful. Though he has barely seen or heard from his parents since then, Val’kur feels little regret in this decision. Even as a young child, Val’kur grew quickly and was most at home running in the wilderness where he lived. By the time he was twelve years of age, the halfbreed was already as tall as father and had wrestled with the numerous creatures living in the subterranean tunnels and the forests they led to. The outings only grew in number and length as Val’kur’s body continued to develop, leading to his absence from days on end at times. He wouldn’t learn why he felt compelled to wander until later, and his parents even later. At the time though, when it became clear that there was something more than just a young child’s curiosity at work, his parents were forced to come to a decision. They couldn’t simply force their child to stay, he was more than capable of handling himself, his scars could attest to that. An orc’s natural cunning and an elf’s developed mind, meant that even as a child, Val’kur was more intelligent and mature than his age would suggest. For all that though, he was still inexperienced and no amount of natural cunning would let a novice survive the wilds without a home to return to. His mother came along with him for the next year, teaching him what she could and remembered from her time as a wanderer after she had left her tribe. When he turned fourteen, Val’kur finally set out with the best equipment his parents could provide and their blessings. It was the last time he called the place home.
