If I may suggest try looking at some Nations RPs. Not everyone's slice of pie but they can be pretty fun. Especially when your doing Sci-Fi or Fantasy NRPs where you can have a lot of freedom to write out every little single fiber of your nation. Oh and in most NRPs it mainly like character roleplaying, except your doing many characters who decisions effect the outcomes of whole nations.

If you do decide to try NRPs im going to be a bit bias here and say look into the New Order. Its as Post WW3 NRP where I'm GM.

Well welcome other newbie. One of the best things about forums dedicated to role-playing specifically is that there is a wider variety of RPs available, hope you find one that interests you.
