"Rebuild society? Now, that's new." Connor muttered, staring off into the distant city. The skyline had been almost completely ruined by the rioting monsters, who had all but completely flattened every skyscraper there. "You honestly think we can save this?" He gestured toward the almost completely destroyed city. The loud, ear rending roars of riots echoed into the forest. "I've been traveling for a good couple of hours now here." Connor said, watching as the two crawled up onto his wide shoulders. They perched on top of them comfortably, which was probably the first time that had ever happened. "I've seen whole lot of stuff out here in these past few hours." Connor began walking through the forest, swinging his arms back and forth. "I'm sure that there are plenty of people out there who are still sane." Connor said, staring off into the city. Smoke billowed out of the rubble and ruins. "But they still riot. They see that society is breaking down, and they just decide to play along with the whole thing." Connor glanced at the two resting at his shoulders, stating between them. "Name's Connor, by the way." Connor walked alongside the boundary between the city and the forest. He had to be careful in order for him not to venture too far into the boundaries. Several clusters of little creatures cluttered up around his feet, but they did no damage beside minor scratches. It was hard to find an area without any monsters lurking about. "Gotta be careful around here. Anything could attack." Almost as if on cue, a Phoenix flew by, smoke flowing out of it's mouth, flames erupting from it's mouth. Connor suddenly raised his hand, his stone fist catching it. It fell to the ground, fire crackling and hissing as it faded. "Like that." Connor said, staring at it as it fell to the ground. "A lot of creatures around here are either insane or angry." Connor stomped on another small creature.
