Swims also looked around the area while Veria went out to hunt. His sense of smell was better than that of a Human, but even so, he had no luck. He thought he caught the scent of a rabbit somewhere nearby, but the scent went in two directions and he had no idea which way to go. He returned to their camp shortly before Veria. At least she had managed to find something to eat, though it wasn't much. Swims preferred meat to plants, but he wasn't about to complain. Any food would be good by this point. He used his dagger to divide their last apple in half, then ate it along with his share of the plants that Veria found. "We can share my waterskin for tonight." Swims said, taking a drink before offering it to her. "I'm not really that concerned about water. There are rivers and lakes everywhere in the Blackwood Forest. Even if there aren't any in the immediate area, we are bound to find one as we travel. And if we really need it, we can always start heading west until we hit the Niben river. It is a bit of a detour, but it would work. Our situation with food isn't...ideal, but it's not like we are going to starve to death in two days. We'll just need to keep an eye out when we're on the road."
