[b]Appearance:[/b] There were many ways to describe Dresden, though people of the old world would be reminded of an athlete. He was standing at 6'2" and weighing in at nearly 190 pounds. Long hours of work in the mines gave him an athletic, strong build and a powerful but bulky stature, his arms and upper body well muscled while his legs were strong and supportive. Aside from his usual work, there was often little chance to display his strength. Considering his state, most would probably think twice about engaging the man in a fight, though he was no doubt slow and ungraceful due to his size.

The man's skin was naturally dark, though days spent in the sun contributed to it's color. His skin was tight against muscle, smooth and unblemished aside from a series of scars running across the length of his right arm that look like deep burns. The skin on this arm is thick and jagged. There were no tattoos along the man's body and there seemed to be no other identifying marks of that nature.

Dresden's black hair was like that of a lion's mane; a thick tangled mess that only received shaped through tightly woven and braided dreadlocks which were often tied back. Should his hair be untied, it would fall to his shoulders. 

Golden body jewelry adorned the miner, even though he often received flak from his employer. Through his septum, resting in his nose was a golden ring. It sat just above his upper lip. Both ears were pierced with small golden rings as well. Dresden's tongue had a single golden stud going through the center.

The scent of smoke often surrounded the man, both tobacco and a strange blend of incense. 

[b]Magic:[/b] Dresden was given the ability to create flame; he is a pyromancer. The man emits an energy at any time he chooses which turns to flame should it be ignited. The only downside to this magic is that there must be a spark to ignite the energy which he emits. The flames can be harnessed, though they burn Dresden in the first few tiers as he has yet to master this ability. The more he uses his magic in one sitting, the seemingly angrier he gets. 

Tier 1: Energy release. At any moment, Dresden can let out a burst of energy which can turn to flame. At this tier, it is undirected and simply flows all around him. 

Tier 2: Dresden can now direct his energy into simple shapes. Should he want to create a ball of flame to throw at someone or something, he harnesses the energy into his hand and tosses it after ignition. This burns him, of course.

Tier 3: He can create a cone of flame in any direction he wants, so now he doesn't have to hold onto the flame to direct it. However, it travels much less of a distance.

Tier 4: Dresden can shield himself from the effects of flame and heat, even if it does not originate from him. This is done by redirecting the energy which resonates within him.

Tier 5: The flames are much more powerful, able to incinerate a Human being if they are subjected long enough. They are now blue in color.

Tier 6: He can now immolate himself in flame to prevent himself from being touched. This acts as a shield of sorts, as most weapons will melt if they are too close for too long.

Tier 7: Dresden can protect others from the effects of flame and heat. This is useful for if he would want to bombard an area in fire and protect his allies. In theory, he could also ignite weapons and other objects.

Tier 8: Enemies can be instantly engulfed in flame unless they are wearing something which would protect them from such effects. They will likely burn up but nothing is stopping the flame from being put out.

Tier 9: The flames once more gain power, becoming purple in color. They can melt steel and incinerate most objects. 

Tier 10: Dresden can now replicate all of his previous abilities with a magma like substance. This will have repercussions on the environment which it touches but it will cool into rock after so many minutes. Most living things can not stand the heat from the immediate area of this substance. 

[b]Personality:[/b] Although content with his life, Dresden finds his new gifts to be a blessing from God himself. He is now working to find a purpose in his life befitting such abilities, hoping to make his mark on the world and improve what he can. He is fiercely loyal to those he becomes close to and is generally kind of heart, though there is a spark in him that allows for an inner rage. He does what he can to do good in this world but now and again, the temptation of material things is a little to much to handle.

[b]Background:[/b] Although his house wasn't the largest, he didn't make the most money, and his life wasn't the most adventurous... Dresden was the content son of a local miner, who's footsteps he had followed. Dresden had been working the mines since he was 18, building a reputation for himself amongst the other laborers as a well respected young man with a bright future. This all changed when Dresden discovered that he could create fire itself, something he was as a responsibility. However, there is a part of him that realizes the potential of this ability and the power he could harness.
