Constance "Connie" Garcia

High School history teacher
With her love of learning and teaching, Constance is a natural teacher. Easy going and laid back, she's probably one of the easiest teachers to get along with, although she does have her limits. Outside of the classroom Constance is always trying to learn something new.
Constance was born the eldest of four children in a Hispanic household, where English was the primary language. At a young age she showed a passion for learning as well as teaching and she had made up her mind at the age of six what she wanted to do - "I wanna be a teacher!" she yelled to her mother. With four younger brothers and being the only girl Constance grew close with her mother and the two share a very close bond, they talk on the phone with each other every day. Constance is also very close to her father, a restaurant owner. Her brothers are: Juan aged 32, George, aged 27 and the youngest Alfredo, aged 25. She is very close to all of her brothers and their families. 
Constance graduated from High School early, with average grades and had quickly enrolled in college the following fall. She has a Bachelor's degree in teaching with an emphasis on history and a Master's in history (Two different degrees, she got her Bachelor’s at the age of 22 and just recently completed her Master's). If she hadn't become a teacher like she always wanted to, she would want to be a historian.
She moved to Seattle a few years back to be closer to her brother Juan and his family in order to help with his middle daughter who was born with a developmental disorder. Just last month she moved to her own place which, thankfully, is closer to the school she is going to be starting at.

Ana Chase
5 years old
Like all four years olds Ana loves to ask questions, lots of questions. She loves her family but is still too young to fully understand what happened to her mother. She just thinks that her mother is "on vacation".
The youngest of the Chase children, Ana was adopted from India as a baby. She had been left to die by the side of the road (as a victim or would be victim of infanticide) but was saved after someone turned her over to an orphanage. Very little is known about her birth parents. Ana was adopted at the age of one and a half.

Eric Chase
10 years old
A rambunctious ten year old, Eric is always either getting into trouble or just getting out of it; He's a joker and likes to make people laugh. Unlike his oldest brother, Eric isn't opposed to their dad trying to date again - he encourages it.
The second biological child of Raymond and Marie, Eric was a mama's boy and the loss of his mother hit him hard. He's still trying to cope with the fact that she's gone but he wants to see his dad happy and he thinks that by his dad having a girlfriend then things would become normal for them. Eric has a soft spot for Ana; she's his little partner in crime after all.
