If it disrupted the psychic powers of a person inside the field, that would make sense. If it "scrambled" TK and TP within the field, that would make sense. If he couldn't be read by most telepaths, that would work too, as his brain might be sufficiently mutated to make it hard to connect to him.
I was just wondering "If it blocks all psychic powers, would even Phoenix be unable to affect him?" Her telepathy and TK would be out, but would the fire work?
