When Bobby Lee came out and went to the barn no nobody had any idea where Rose had gone, and Thomas wouldn't say a word, and ended up in the hospital after getting the beating of a lifetime. Bobby had no idea where Rose had gone, and neither did her father, so ultimately Rose was just missing with no leads to where she was. Bobby decided to give up, since he had been cheating on her with a blonde named Serifina all along. So Rose and Bert were safe, at least for now anyways.
