Rambling: No worries, i'm glad you're asking lots of questions. You can have a small bag, or pockets, or whatever you need in order to carry your starter items, but it should only be big enough to carry those few things (plus a little extra). This way you'll want to find some larger bags in town when you get more items, but that won't be too difficult.
