Connor gave a shrugged and said softly, "I did what I had to do. That's all" he said, hands still in his pockets, jacket now zipped up against the cool night air. He swallowed but didn't look away. He didn't move, staying where he was, yet it seemed like one good gust of wind would knock him over. Vulnerable and fragile looking, he nevertheless managed to give an air of strength. He gave another shrug, starting towards the car to lean against the hood. He rested there, looking up at the sky. "What happened, happened, and we can't change that. So we may as well move forward" he said softly, knowing that she would hear him. He sighed softly, "things are getting worse. The dark is rising. So let's find the medallion as quick as possible, shall we?" He said, looking back to Elizabeth. "You shouldn't take long to do what you have to do. I want to be in a hotel room before the sun comes up. Before the sky lightens" He knew they'd have to be extremely careful now.
