"In my eyes, there's not much left here to be saved." Connor said solemnly, looking over the city. "A couple of sane people in a world of rioting. Don't see what you're going to squeeze out of that." Connor shrugged. "But I suppose I'll join your little group. Since it looks like you're really dedicated." The massive golem swung another large fist, knocking a much smaller dragon out of the airspace. "Getting a bit cramped here. I suppose we should move out." Connor continued his long stride down deeper into the forest, trying to avoid the city more. "I suppose you're not quite as durable." He began striding through the trees at a more quickened pace, resorting to his usual method of getting to places quickly. He used his knuckles to swing himself forward, his shoulders shaking wildly. He hoped he wouldn't shake off the spare passengers lying on his shoulders, but it must've been hard to cling to the shaking rock. Finally, Connor came to a spot in the forest that seemed relatively calm. There were few creatures hanging around, but then again, it was hard to find a place without some lurking about. He could easily stomp on them if they tried to try anything, so he wasn't too worried. As far as the eye could see, pine trees covered the land, with the occasional jutting hill or massive boulder. In the far distance, the city stood tall, a good couple of miles away. Connor lay against a very small, grassy hill, which he could actually rest against like a seat. Connor lay at the hill, gasping in air. Somehow he felt exhausted? Connor wasn't too sure about how that worked. He lacked lungs or muscles or nerves, but he felt fatigued. He'd assume it was from all the fighting he'd been doing in the past couple of hours. He'd never had a break, and had been up since 2 or 3 AM. He hadn't been too sure about that. Connor layed there, simply staring at the blue sky decorated with wispy white clouds for a second. A Phoenix soared by, passing them over. "Alright, we can talk all we like without getting swamped by those things." Connor said, relaxing. His shoulders eased up, and his stone joints loosened. He exhaled a sigh of musky, mossy breath. "First order of business; finding a base." Connor relaxed against the hill, staring off into the distance. "I don't think we're going to find some massive bomb shelter stocked with dry food and water out in the middle of the forest. We're going to need to look somewhere else for a base." "I think one of the best places to find a base would be at least somewhere close to the city, considering that's one of the few places where there are actually some buildings there." Connor said. "Unless you somehow want to make your little fort, which is going to require a lot more than some pine trees and rocks." Connor stated, uselessly kicking aside a smaller tree that could easily kill someone if it fell on another creature. "The best place to find materials or something like that would be in the city.
