That Rhaenys was the youngest of the three Targaryen siblings is evident not just from biology, but also behavior. Playful and curious where her sister was stern, Rhaenys developed a great interest in music and poetry. Renown for grace and beauty, Rhaenys enjoyed throwing and participating in grand events which to her siblings were often political at best. Equally, Rhaenys enjoyed riding her dragon, Meraxes, the most, supposedly spending at least twice as much time flying as her siblings, often using it to calm herself or for simple enjoyment. The only possible mark on the younger Targaryen's reputation was her habit of surrounding herself with comely males, resulting in whispers about her fidelity. However, despite these rumors, true or not, Rhaenys was her brother's favored wife, over the cold Visenya.

[b]Biography:[/b]

Rhaenys, like her siblings, was born on Dragonstone and rode her dragon, Meraxes, before she was married to her elder brother Aegon. The only one of the siblings to retain much of her childish joy with life, Rhaenys nevertheless became the most skillful rider of the three, if not quite as awe inspiring a commander or soldier as her siblings. Rhaenys spent most of her days on Dragonstone fascinated with stories, music and poetry, longing for a prettier world, away from the harsh craggy nature of their home.

Her wish was granted first with the calling of war, of her brother's conflict against Volantis. Playing only a minor role in proceedings, she was allowed off Dragonstone, for longer than a few hours, to see the land they were fighting and her desire for the outside world only grew. As soon as they returned to Dragonstone, Rhaenys pushed for Aegon to take a greater part in the politics of the world, out of logic, but more so her desire to leave Dragonstone behind.
