Sandra was surprised that he responded to him...and since he failed to notice the smell she figured it was only she imagining things again. The pressure perhaps was getting to her, especially after that display of duelling talent. She really like that merit of being here, that and of course the whole spooky theme of this whole tournament, as she was guiding Lyall she stated to digress She shuffled her deck again, a impulse she had sadly yet not gotten under control. She did however find this whole idea ingenious! How better to make everyone play their best then this? She remember when she was younger and she watched the duellist kingdom tournament repeats on her TV. She loved really how Pegasus used all of his creativity to create one fantastical tournament witch she would have loved to be part of. Sadly she was far to young and inexperienced back then...now however, perhaps she could have won that tournament just as she might win this one. It was all in the cards after all....
Lyall chuckled and shook his head. Clearly this girl hadn't even begun to suspect that there was something more sinister going on and only saw everything as just another cute tournament gimmick. You know, because sealing most of the main exits was something that always happened in family friendly places. Now at the cafeteria, Lyall began making comments of his own. "I'm more familiar with the Battle City tournament that was hosted by the Kaiba Corporation," he said as he browsed through the various food options available. "Specifically, the finals. There was a certain duelist there I found very intriguing, one by the name of Marik Ishtar. See, he too happened to mention this 'Shadow Realm', and during duels with his opponents..." Lyall turned his head to make eye contact with Sandra. "Well... there's clearly something very strange going on, especially considering the fact that his opponents wound up physically injured, even comatose. It's mostly played off as a /creative gimmick/ to keep interest, but some suspect otherwise..."
