Wendy was abruptly pulled back onto the ground as she heard Jan yell, and was dragged to a safe point before hearing and feeling an intense explosion. The shockwaves dazed her, and she couldn't breath through her balaclava momentarily, as dust was kicked up into the air. She coughed a bit roughly, before she scrambled to her feet and stood up, still a bit dazed. She shook her head, trying to ignore the after effects of having a grenade blow up within a few feet of her. If her leg didn't hurt before, it definitely hurt now, but she was trained to deal with the pain. As she stood up, Zhenya tapped her on the shoulder, and gave her a signal to follow her. She nodded as she followed him up the stairs, her pistol still in her hands as she stuck right behind him, pistol pointed next to him as he gave the signal indicating that the corridor before them was clear. She moved up to his right side, pistol pointed to the front of them. Sounds of a conflict were coming from down below, which was never a good sign. As Zhenya gave her something to do, and nodded, "Got it." She said, lining up behind the nearest room. She burst in through the door of the first room, raising her pistol and seeing absolutely nothing as she dragged herself against an adjacent wall. "Clear!" She said, as she exited the room. This was going to be a rather long process, as the rooms weren't connected inside so she couldn't just go through and such. She lined up behind the next room, repeating the same process only to repeat the result of the last search - nothing. That would mean the next room would probably contain their target, and Wendy had to be especially vigilant on these next ones. She took a deep breath as she walked briskly outside, before finally breaching into the next room. The content of the next room wasn't exactly what she wanted to find, in fact, it was the exact opposite. Their target was in there, but he was sitting on a chair, holding a detonator strapped to canisters of the compound along with explosives. "Shoot, and all of you die." He uttered.
