It was a long, silent drive. Very silent. Very long. Even though it took those couple hours until the sun started peeking up for them to get to town, and she had had that long to think things over...she still could think straight enough to figure out what to do or say. She felt that he deserved something, she wasn't punishing him for anything. But there was nothing she could think of. She almost jumped when his voice broke the silence, imagining that she heart would be going like a racehorse if it still worked. She didn't want to get her hopes up though, so she didn't look directly at him as he spoke. But when he had gotten done, she felt an emottional sort of warmth well within her and she smiled. Not only did he finally say that he wasn't dead, but he said that she wasn't either. It didn't mean quite the same thing to her, since she had technically died, but she found herself incredibly happy that he said that...and, in his own way, that he wanted to be with her. She looked over, still smiling, and gently laid her hand on his . It wasn't enough to disturb any of his driving, but enough to just be able to touch him, to have that connection. "I'm glad." she said finally, "because I feel alive. "
