Alexis in the car, Daniel drove off and out of the parking lot, acting casual about it so as to not attract attention, making his way down the road with the occasional glance in the rear view mirror, until at last his passenger confirmed that they were in the clear. The radio he allowed to stay on, given that the music would be calming and he wasn't actually powering the car anyway. He could afford it being on. He could feel himself fading, having used a lot of energy to do all that magic and now suffering for it. Adrenaline was keeping him going, but he'd need to rest, eat, or something, before he just dropped from exhaustion. There had to be a better way of doing magic than this. still, he didn't look too bad, a bit sweaty, clothes ruffled, a bit grimy as well, but otherwise, he was intact and that was a good thing. Now that they were on the run together, or something, when she asked, he was willing to be a lot more forthcoming with answers. "About a year," he said with a shrug. "I haven't been running all that time, but I think it's been around that long." It was hard to remember, the days before those men showed up at his door, before he had this strange power. Like a distant life gone by. At her next question, he shook his head. "No. that's a false identity. I'm really Daniel Saddler." He held out a hand as he drove towards...somewhere, anywhere away form the fair. "Pleasure to meet you."
