Most of it is for lore purposes. (The Crystal Stair, and most holy relics of theirs. Though many of their holy relics do have some mystical effects, often glowing.) There are a few things that would give some advantage such as having a handful of the Mriswring Dragons come through, but I had planned to have there be only one or two adult ones and maybe 10 hatchlings along with some eggs.
I haven't got anything against dragons. I'm more on watch for anyone that wants to be invulnerable, or immune to significant threats. As long as your race can feasibly be killed by a human, then there wont be any problem. I'll be playing the NPC nations (which will be all the native countries not taken by players, and the High Elves) to ensure no one goes stomping around. I wont be playing to win, just to facilitate a living world for the players to fight against. I have a combat system crafted, which proved to be quite successful in my other RP. I made the mistake of playing a nation whilst trying to operate the world in my other RP, so this time I wont be having a country. However it will free me up to animate the other 20+ nations that you will need to conquer. As I develop this, you'll get an understand of how this RP will function. I'm making it as simple as possible; I find that the more technical the mechanics get, the quicker players drop out through sheer cant-be-arsed-ness.
