Hasayo navigated the streets of the seireitei carrying a small gift box. Navigated isn't the right word though as he still found himself twice lost on the way to Squad 4. "Ugh, a whole year and i still can't get around. What idiot designed this maze anyway?" He sighed as he finally entered the walls of Squad 4. The members directed him to the proper room. He hesitated to enter only to hear the one he came to visit speak up. "Get in here already. You're still so sloppy with you're reiatsu that I could sense you down the hall~" Hasayo walked into the room with a slight smile. "Oi, how are you feeling Misako?" His fellow shinigami from Squad 13 say up in her bed. "A little pain here and there but I'll live." She said with a smile. Hasayo's gaze feel at her choice of words. "Here, just a little something to say sorry." He said handing her the box. "I'll find a better way to make it up to y-Ow!" Before he could finish Misako cut him off with a flick to the forehead. "That's enough of that." She gave him a stern look as he rubbed the stinging spot on his forehead. Her expression faded to a look of concern. "I've heard about how you've been sulking around the barracks." Hasayo looked away from Misako. "I'm not sulking, I just...because of me you were badly hurt." He was referring to their latest mission where Hasayo left Misako to hold off a hollow while he rushed to protect some people from falling debris the hollow had caused. When he took off without warning Misako became distracted and ended up suffering severe injuries. "I made a stupid move and we both ended up in here. You, longer than me." Misako sighed. "I know you've been frustrated lately but you can't blame yourself. A little heads up would have been nice but at the same time I shouldn't have lost my concentration." She tested a hand in his shoulder. "After a year all of Squad 13 knows that you'll rush to the aid of anyone who needs it. That's just what you do." Hasayo clenched his fist. "Still, if I was better I could've avoided injury and gotten to you faster and you wouldn't have been hurt as bad as you were." Misako smiled softly. Everyone in the squad admired the crimson haired kid's caring nature. "Things would have been a lot worse if you weren't there. I'm grateful for that. You still lack experience but you've got the resolve to make up for it. Just remember that you can't protect everyone but you can't let it stop you." Hasayo relaxed and looked at her. "Thanks. That's just a little harder when it feels like you haven't gotten any stronger in three months." Misako smiled. "You've just hit a slump. It'll pass, don't worry." She then proceeded to open Hasayo's gift. He sighed feeling a little relieved. I hope so...otherwise I don't think I'm cut out to be a shinigami... He thought before Misako started to gush over the box. "Sushi from my favorite restaurant~" Hasayo chuckled. "Yeah, I asked around the squad."
