Of course not. Remember, those who are unarmed generally don't have to pick fights with others. Besides, I imagine your character as doing most of his investigations through the Cloud, so why would he need a weapon? Of course, you can change that as this RP moves along. Maybe he realizes that he is in really deep and might want a gun? Though this isn't a necessity, it's just a thought.
