Four days later, when the ship had time to be repaired and take on an experienced crew, they were ready to sail. The ship was a small, but well appointed sloop. Roger stood on the quarter deck, with the captain, watching the sailors walking up the gang plank. They smiled bravely and hugged loved ones good by, before boarding the ship.
