Connor looked over, and sighed, "There's a news report, with a less than adequate description of me, but still enough that if anyone studied me, they might put two and two together " He sighed, and set the cooler down, going over to one of the beds and sitting down, dropping his head in his hands. He didn't think it could get any worse, right up until his phone rang and he recognised Marl's number. He cursed, and answered the phone. "Just what kind of idiot are you boy?" Marl started, not even giving him enough time to say hello. The old hunter's voice was gruff, with just a hint of exhaustion. "Leaving a body in a room you stayed in? I taught you better than that!" Connor winced. "Its more complicated then that Marl" he said softly, his voice steady, even. "Have you had blood?" It was such an unexpected question that Connor blinked and stared at the phone before replying. "No. Never. Jesus, Marl, why would you think that? I've never given you cause to doubt me" "The murder was the woke of a vampire and you know that too" Connor sighed "Marl, I wish I could tell you everything, but I just can't. You just have to trust me" "Yeah, well, I'm two towns over from where I guess you are. I'll find you" Connor hung up the phone and threw it on the bed in frustration.
