Alex listened to his sincere reply. She could tell he meant every word. It was nice to hear, especially now that her life had completely changed in the span of only a couple hours. She managed to break a small smile tugging at her lips, but it was brief. Still, it happened. She looked back at the road noticing signs telling them how far different cities were. Most she had never heard of. Her family wasn't the traveling type. "Where are we headed?" She nodded slowly her eyes growing heavy as the adrenaline in her veins began to wane. She rubbed the small burns on her arm as they began to sting, but it wasn't too bad, she's had worse. "If you need me to drive, just leave me know, okay?" With that, she leaned her head against the window. Her breathing quickly evened out and she was asleep within only a matter of minutes.
