Personality: John Brewer has a very gung ho personality often charging head first into danger without much thought for himself but he is a caring person when it comes to other people he loves to make people laugh and smile.

History:John Brewer had a rough life his father left him and his older sister Emily with their alcoholic mother at age 3 she made their lives a living hell often taking her hatred on the always crying and sniveling John who just wanted someone to love him after leaving him with many bruises and scars he made a change in his life at age 5 to never cry or be frightened again and that he did he never cried he never showed fear again.

At age 7 his mother met John's soon to be step-father who also was an alcoholic who at night would take his older sister who was 10 into his bedroom when his mom wasn't there and his sister would come out later crying and sobbing and would refuse to tell John what happened his step father didn't just do that though if John was in the room sometimes he would turn on him and hit him and kick him and throw him this inspired John to take martial arts as a child so he could defend himself.

Seven years later at age 14 his step father had gotten particularly drunk and waved a knife around he slashed John's sister leaving her with a scar on her back and attempted to stab John who fought back and ended up killing him the police came and his mother said "that child did it for no reason take him away" he went to Juvee for a couple of months where here learned something he would never expect when asked by another kid why he never smiled or laughed all he could offer in response was "I just don't like to" to which the kid replied "But life is always better when you smile." and from that day on they became friends until his release.

John had all charges dropped his sister testified and had proof that the step father had start the violence showing off her scar to the court and that John was just defending her and that's where she revealed more great news that she was getting emancipated and that she could take John with her to which he eagerly agreed.

They lived happily together till John on his 19th birthday decided to enlist in the military the marines to be exact he took his ASVAB and scored high from all the studying he did in high school he decided to join force recon and became an operator in the 1st reconnaissance battalion he was shipped overseas to Afghanistan a year later shortly after his 20th birthday there he fought and served his country with pride but the people he killed the lives he took haunt him and his nightmares the people who died when he should have they were all there the final straw came towards the end of John's tour of duty when an IED went off next to his Humvee and blew shards of glass into his arm and into his passengers neck he tried everything he could to save him but it didn't help his fellow brother in arms life force faded away through his fingers just like his blood.

John came home a wreck he tried drinking away his pain that didn't help just made him angry he tried psychologists that didn't help either eventually he decided to become a PE teacher because he had always liked children he got a job at his local middle school teaching kids PE but because of the economy in his home town they had to cut him the nightmares were worse than ever after that and he felt like he would never get a job until an offer came through for him someone had sent him a request to come teach in a small town called Saint-Vienne a town he had heard of only by the dead in his dreams taking this as a sign to start a new life he left to go to Saint-Vienne 

Reason for arriving in Saint-Vienne: A letter requesting a PE teacher had arrived for him from the town and he has had several dreams of the town from the dead that haunt his dreams.
