Connor sighed and nodded, "he probably did, but there isn't anything I can do about that. He was checking into a hotel, I could hear the desk clerk ask if he needed more then one key. So, he'll be in town the whole night at least" An upside, he thought. He would have to be careful where he chose to stay in the morning. Maybe hide the care, throw Marl off the rrail once he figured out Connor wasn't in the town. He looked over, seeing her with her laptop, "Using technology? Impressive" He smiled "You'll be using it well in no time, I'm sure" He looked back to the road, to pay attention so they didn't crash. No doubt Elizabeth could survive, but Connor had never tested his ability to survive beyond the normal human abilities. He glanced back to her, but did pay attention to the road. He was silent for a while, trying to figure out what to say, to ease the tension. "Its going to be okay, Elizabeth" he said softly, feeling like that was a lame thing to say, but unable to think of anything else, he fell silent.
