I would imagine that you could argue that the blind have seeing-eye dogs, and some people have designated plans for panic attacks that may bypass regular school rules, so why can't the character have a helping-hand cat? Surely a school for the disabled would be open-minded to allowing this plan of safety to prevent harm because of a physical disability. And, the kitten would be equal parts medicine and entertainment. If you're trying to help these children become adapted to life with their disabilities, it seems it would be extremely difficult for progress, even reversing whatever positive progress made, to take away a method of comfort in case of a panic attack caused by a sudden symptom of multiple sclerosis. In other news, I decided I would make a first-year male student with MS, multiple sclerosis.
In that case, pancakes all the way.
'Kay.
